Catching up…again!

I keep saying I am going to put time aside to write once a week to update my blog and for a long time I was really good about doing that, but it seems this year has flown by and I just can’t keep up. I have been busy as usual but not being as productive as I like to be (if that’s ever possible! lol). I was reluctant to take on twitter and facebook since I haven’t been able to keep up here but everyone seems to feel I need all of the above so follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/ftkustomz and http://www.facebook.com/FullThrottleKustomzLLC on Facebook and please help spread the word by Follow/Like us 😉

I keep taking pictures and notes about cool things to write about but it never seems I ever get to time to sit down and unleash the those thoughts. (in need of a personal secretary!) SO here I am again with a catch up session… It will be less painful this time…

First up, I forgot to write about a couple of my recent purchases…

I wanted to find a truck to run around in and pull the trailer without having to many issues and since I have always liked the Lightnings I figured this would be a good fit. The problem here as we all know is trying to find one that hasn’t been “bastardized” by some fool with generic parts and then beat to hell with a ton of miles on it. I searched for a while then came up with this one in Oregon.

It’s a 2004 that had only 48k miles on it. I checked with the dealer and verified it was all stock except a few cosmetic mods and then I was was on a road trip to get my new toy. After a 14 hour drive north through some amazing scenery it was time to checkout the new addition to my family. I walked around it checking out the body while the salesman reached in and started it up…

I jumped when it fired because i was expecting a stock truck but the exhaust was anything but stock… I quickly popped the hood and found a larger tb, ignition coils, cai,  full length stainless headers with a complete exhaust, and a 6# pulley. I was not happy! After driving all that way I figured I would at least take it for a drive… It drove really well and it looked good on a datalog and since the mods done where exactly what I wanted to do (including the same manufacturers).

I decided to go through with the deal…after beating him up over the drive and “all stock” comments of course! I brought the truck home and gave it a complete once over changing all fluids etc so I had a good starting point for maintenance. I also custom tuned it and plan on do a few mods to it soon but for now I am just enjoying her (still haven’t come up with a name yet).

Next up..

I developed a few motorcycle products and with a last minute decision to go to Sturgis I needed a hot bike to attract attention to my products so I was all over the net looking for a bike to fit the bill. I came across this Pro Street bike in Wisconsin that was built by a guy at his house.

It has a 96″ S/S Evo Replica single cam with a welded crank & 9:1 comp, 3.35 Drag Style Ultima Open Primary with Billet backing plate, Black Diamond Forward Controls with BD Assassin Revolver Grips/Pegs, RSD 6spd, Pro Street MMW (Malibu Motorcycle Works) frame with 42deg rake 7deg triple 49deg total, Aerocharger Turbo that was made was originally setup for 5-6psi at 140rwhp and when the switch is flipped you get another 2psi of boost. Although the original owner did a fantastic job on this build I plan on a complete tear down soon to give it my own personality and custom mods. I am also planning on a complete build this spring… I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag too soon but can you say “fat with over 300rwhp!”

If you know me then you know I am always on the run looking for new and cool things to get into and I have recently come across a couple things that are waaayyyy cool but I will fill you in on those later 😉
