Every year Optima Battery hand selects approximately 50 cars to be put to the test. You see, every car on display at SEMA claims to be the baddest and this challenge was put together to put these cars to the test….that’s if the owners have the balls to drive them on a track and prove that they are not just show cars!! If you remember I raced in this challenge last year but this year I was just a spectator and normally this is not a spectator event so I would like to extend a special thanks to Bud Brutsman (producer of shows like Overhaulin’ , Rides, and this event for Speed Channel) and the Optima crew for allowing me to hangout.
The invitational is scheduled to take place every year in Parhump Nevada at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch. It’s a 2.2 mile road course, autocross, 0-60-0 event with extra “flash” points thrown in since these cars were originally born to be show vehicles. Good people, good fun and kick ass cars…it’s a guys dream come true, with the exception of the missing half dressed hot models!
