Optima Invitational

The guys at Optima Batteries are some smart fellas over there! It’s been a known fact for many years that the show cars that are displayed at SEMA every year are not always capable of what they are advertised of doing. So Optima Battery decided to put together a Street Car Invitational that would be held on the Saturday after the SEMA Show at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Nevada and only “Hottest Cars” from SEMA were invited and it just so happened that I was the driver of two of those cars… a 2009 Nissan GTR with 800hp on tap and a 2010 Camaro running full suspension and a Magnuson blower. Bud Brutsman (Producer of Over Haulin’, Rides etc) handled all of the filming for the Speed Channel and believe me when I tell you there were some awesome vehicles there and they were put to the test… 0-60-0, autocross, 2.2 mile road course and of course a car show for some attention to detail points. Hat’s of to the Optima guys for an event loaded with tire ripping fun!
