Can a tune go bad?

No.

If a tune is done correctly then the car will be able to adapt just as it did from the factory to altitude and temperature changes etc. If you have been driving your car for a period of time with no issues then chances are it is not the tune. Check for obvious issues (vacuum leaks etc) and then datalog.
