Only weeks before the 2007 Fireball Run Transcontinental Ralley, I installed full length headers and an x-pipe on my 2007 Shelby GT500 and realized it was way too raspy. I tried every muffler on the market and could not get rid of the obnoxious sound under acceleration. There was no way I could handle that droning and raspyness going from Ohio to Florida and then starting the ralley from Florida to Hollywood California and back so I called up Jim Sr at Corsa and asked him for a huge favor…make me an oval muffler with extra packing to silience all of that noise. When I dropped off the car I explained what I was looking for and not only did Corsa perform their magic and give me what I was looking for, the results were so good they ended up marketing that design. No drone, a deep throaty tone and a hp increase! A win win combination!
